How it Works

All Seminars during January will be presented by the usual presenter, with an ASL sign language interpreter present at the front of the room. For those watching via webinar, the feed will show the ASL interpretation alongside the seminar speaker.

Aira is a service that connects blind and low-vision people to live agents through a smartphone or Smart Glasses. Aira agents will provide navigation assistance (if needed) to Small Business BC, which is located within Waterfront Station in Vancouver, BC.

All our seminars and webinars are available at a minimal cost – however Community Futures are offering free education for Accessibility Month through their Entrepreneurs with Disabilities Program.

The Application process for these seminars differs from Small Business BC’s usual registration process. Interested clients must fill out an client intake form. Applications will be reviewed by Community Futures and will take 3-5 business days to process. Once approval is received, Small Business BC will contact you to complete the registration process.
