Executive Director, Small Business Branch, Ministry of Jobs, Economic Development and Competitiveness

Jackie sits on the Board as the appointed provincial government representative.  Jackie is a seasoned, results-oriented leader, with more than 30 years of progressively complex senior management experience from across government in a variety of roles.  In Jackie’s previous roles throughout her career, she has led portfolios in regional fisheries, licensing, compliance and enforcement, government-wide regulatory reform, Indigenous relations and policy development.  She has demonstrated success in delivering on high profile initiatives and rebuilding programs and teams in the public sector.

In 2014 she assumed her current role as Executive Director of the Small Business Branch in the Ministry of Jobs, Economic Development and Competitiveness, a position which she has embraced with enthusiasm and dedication.

Jackie and her team engage with public and private sector organizations to deliver programs, tools, training and information to support the success of the small business sector.  Jackie’s group also leads the overall secretariat function for the Small Business Roundtable (Roundtable), an advisory body comprised of senior business leaders across the province who facilitate dialogue between government and the small business sector to identify key issues and opportunities facing small businesses.
