Amy is the Ask the Expert program manager at Small Business BC. Amy operates her own part time specialty cake bakery business.

Belinda Mui

Belinda is a Trade Advisor at Small Business BC. She has successfully launched several businesses ranging from selling online to trading internationally, shipping to every continent in the world with the exception of Antarctica.

Having worked in strategic analysis, marketing, and international trade, she utilizes her experience in assisting clients through the process of starting and growing their business at Small Business BC.

A graduate of the UBC Sales and Marketing Management Executives Program, she has over 20 years’ experience in retail management, sales and marketing. Bridget shares her expertise with clients at Small Business BC as well as teaching business courses for local community colleges.

Connie Miao

Connie Miao

Connie Miao is an Education Coordinator at Small Business BC. Coming from a background involving university education programs and alumni relations, she applies her experience in the Education Centre to coordinate and develop new content relevant to small business communities across the province of BC. She holds a BCom with a specialization in Marketing Co-op from the Sauder School of Business and hopes to become an entrepreneur one day.

Darren Dunne

A native of Dublin, Ireland, Darren has an extensive background in journalism and content creation that stretches back over a decade. He has worked at Small Business BC since August 2017.

In his position as Content Coordinator he oversees the upkeep of the SBBC and SBBC Awards website, writing articles, developing relationships with external bloggers, and collaborating with industry experts on articles of interest to the SBBC community.

Dylan Hrycyshen

Dylan Hrycyshen is a start-up advisor and entrepreneur with a passion for technology, social enterprise and sustainable design. Dylan loves big ideas and the passion that fuels small business.

As a Business Advisor, Dylan uses his community development experience to foster the relationships that accelerate business skill training.

Felicia Chan

Felicia is a Marketing and Communications Assistant at Small Business BC, mainly working on the Export Navigator team. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication in 2020. Prior to graduating, she has held internships in digital marketing, journalism, and corporate communications.

She looks forward to learning more about the vibrant small business community in BC and to support her team in expanding the Export Navigator program.

Gary Webb

Gary has been a part of Small Business BC for over twenty years. Currently, as a Business Advisor, he advises clients on all aspects of business start-up including registration, licencing, sales tax registration, workers compensation coverage, business insurance and industry specific regulatory requirements. Gary has first-hand knowledge of what it takes to successfully start, run and sell a business, having operated his own coffee shop business, in Kitsilano, over a span of 6 years. Given this experience, he is able to provide clients with very practical insights during one-on-one consultations. In particular, he is able to advise on financial and operational aspects of clients business strategies that they often overlook.

Jayme Canotal

Jayme is a Business Systems Analyst at Small Business BC. She is a graduate of the Bachelors of Business Administration, Marketing Management program at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. She has also completed the Data Analytics certificate program at BrainStation. Jayme has worked in several different roles at Small Business BC including Business Services Consultant and Education Coordinator and most recently Business Advisor. In her current role, she analyzes the organization's systems and processes to improve operational efficiency.

Jayme has spearheaded several projects at Small Business BC including the launch of the Small Business BC Meetup Group and most recently the new website redesign. She loves working for an organization that supports entrepreneurs in reaching their goals.

John Baxter has a Bachelor of Mathematics and Business Administration and a Masters of International Development. Having worked on entrepreneurship programs both in Canada and Abroad he has worked with a wide variety of businesses. He uses this experience to help his clients with all aspects of their business idea, helping them to develop a business plan that will guide their business through startup and growth.

Josh Ludgate is the VP of Operations at Small Business BC. He has a background in leading and building technology and telecom start-ups in Vancouver, as well as international roles with Hewlett Packard Financial Services. He applies his diverse and extensive business experience to help clients successfully plan and grow their business.

Leo Chow is the Education Services Manager at Small Business BC. He is a nonprofit sector professional with over a dozen years of experience that spans many boundaries, including immigrant employment, wage subsidy grants, community health, academic assistance for inner-city students and more.

Sara Clark is the VP of Strategic Projects at Small Business BC, currently overseeing a number of special programs and government initiatives. In addition to previous roles such as the VP and Director of Marketing, she holds a Project Management Professional (PMP)® Certification, a diploma in Marketing Management and a Bachelor's degree from the University of British Columbia. Sara participates in various small business and economic development focused groups and committees, including the Downtown Vancouver Business Improvement Association’s (DVBIA) Policy Advisory Council.
