Max Rivest, Co-Founder and CEO, Wize Coffee Leaf (Winner, Best International Trade 2017)

Co-founded in 2013 by Max Rivest and Arnaud Petitvallet, Wize Coffee Leaf creates “tea” using the the leaf of the coffee plant, which is typically discarded by coffee farmers, who only harvest the coffee cherry or bean. In the eight years since, Wize Coffee Leaf has carved out a growing niche, offering consumers a healthier more sustainable option that still delivers on flavour and affordability. Their products, which were first sold at Greens on W Broadway in Vancouver, are now available in retail stores across North America, including Whole Foods.

Frances Riley and Richard Haley, Co-Founders, The Argosy (Winner, Best Marketer 2017)

The Argosy opened its doors in the summer of 2013, and is owned by the husband-and-wife team of Frances Riley and Richard Haley. They personally choose every item brought into the store and are proud to make the Argosy a source for everything funky, vintage, and unique!
